WHO

devdelight.com is the personal site of Alexander Toder, a software engineer who publishes coding-interview videos on YouTube (youtube.com/@AlexToder). This page says what data the site and its internal tools handle.

THIS WEBSITE

No accounts, no advertising, no selling of data. If analytics run, only aggregate page-view counts are kept. A message you send is kept only to reply to you. The site sets no tracking cookies of its own; embedded YouTube players, where present, may set cookies governed by Google's policies.

LATEST VIDEOS

The home page lists the newest videos from the channel. The site reads them from YouTube's public feed or the YouTube Data API on the server; nothing about you is sent. Thumbnails load from YouTube, which is covered by the Google Privacy Policy and the YouTube Terms of Service. The videos on the home page (the one in “See TEACH on a real problem” and the ones under “Latest on YouTube”) load only when you press play; each then comes from YouTube's privacy-enhanced player (youtube-nocookie.com), which is covered by the same Google Privacy Policy. The contact form on the home page sends your name, email and message to me through Netlify, the site's host, only so I can reply.

NEW-VIDEO EMAILS

If you enter your email address in the form on the home page, it is sent to Mailchimp (Intuit), which stores it and sends the emails. It is used only to email you new videos, system design breakdowns and AI news from this channel, and to send you the TEACH cheat sheet. Every email has an unsubscribe link. To have your address deleted, send a message through the channel's About page at youtube.com/@AlexToder.

YOUTUBE API SERVICES

An internal research tool, devdelight-stats, uses the YouTube Data API to read public statistics (view count, like count, comment count, publish date, title) for public YouTube channels in the coding-interview topic area, including Alex's own channel. By using YouTube API Services this tool is bound by the YouTube Terms of Service, and the data it handles is subject to the Google Privacy Policy.

  • Collected: only public data YouTube already shows on channel and video pages. No private user data, no sign-in, no OAuth, no access to anyone's Google account.
  • Used for: comparing how Alex's videos perform against the niche to decide what to make next. The output is a local report read by one person.
  • Shared with: nobody. Not displayed on this site or any app, not sold, not used to train models, not combined with other users' data.
  • Kept for: at most 60 days, then deleted. Any authorized data, if it were ever obtained, would be refreshed or deleted within 30 days as the YouTube API Services Developer Policies require.

DELETION AND CONTACT

If you believe this tool holds data about you that you want removed, send a message through the channel's About page at youtube.com/@AlexToder; it is deleted within 7 days. You can also manage Google data permissions at security.google.com/settings/security/permissions.
